Scope and Content
These sub-fonds contain documents collected by Pedro Rossello for the composition of his thesis on the Precursors of the IBE, divided into three series: 1. Documents kept in three boxes placed in the rolling shelves contain above all the writing of and about Rosello, deemed of interest to the history of the IBE, as well as a work by Marc-Antoine Jullien published in IBE publications (n. 243) and three envelopes of photos. 2. The 10 boxes kept in the display furniture gather an entire range of documents assembled by Rossello for drafting his dissertation on the forerunners of the IBE (published in IBE publications in 1943, n. 80). This documentation is classified either in relation to chapters 2 to 13 of the thesis (two boxes), by the person who supplied the documents (in this instance Kemeny) (two boxes), or according to the persons concerned (Jullien, Peeters, or Father Girard) (one box) 3. The last box contains prints and photographs all or partially used in the illustration of Rosselo’s dissertation. Besides the timely information provided on one character or the other, this material allows one to see how Rossello proceeded to write his work and thus is of epistemological interest.
