Il s'agit d'une action ponctuelle menée par le BIE durant la seconde guerre mondiale. Cinq dossiers non cotés, contenus dans la première boîte du groupe (n. 80), comportent en outre de la documentation sur des activités semblables exercées par d'autres institutions. Le contenu des dossiers est très intéressant et permet d'étudier aussi bien les aspects matériels (organisation, coûts, commandes et dons de livres) que les aspects politiques (relations avec des gouvernements ou des institutions similaires) et intellectuels (listes de livres demandés ou envoyés, concours organisé pour les prisonniers) de cette action. Ces deux dossiers contiennent couvrent la période 1939-1944.
Translated Scope and Content
This was a one-off action carried out by the IBE during the Second World War. Five unrated files, contained in the first box of the group (n. 80), also contain documentation on similar activities carried out by other institutions. The content of the files is very interesting and makes it possible to study both the practical aspects (organization, costs, orders and donations of books) the political ones (relations with governments or similar institutions) and and the intellectual aspects (lists of books requested or sent, competitions organized for prisoners) of this action. These two files cover the period 1939-1944.
