Les deux dossiers A.3.0.25 et 156 contiennent des documents relatifs à l'ancien Conseil d'administration siégeant antérieurement à la signature des statuts de 1929, ainsi qu'à deux affaires commencées avant cette date et n'ayant pas donné de suite particulière (éducation sexuelle et manuel d'histoire de la 1ère guerre). Les dossiers suivants, consacrés aux 45 séances du Comité de 1930 à 1968, ont un contenu organisé de façon semblable : ordre du jour (sauf pour les 15ème et 16ème séances), procès-verbal (hélas manquant pour les 4ème, 5ème, 6ème, 8ème à 15ème, 17ème, 18ème, 22ème et 23ème, 33ème, 38ème, 41ème et 43ème séances), rapports et documents, correspondance. Cette série constitue un bon complément à la série A.2.0 et 1 (Conseil), puisque le Comité exécutif avait pour tâche d'exercer le pouvoir du Conseil entre les sessions selon l'article 11 des statuts de 1929. La mise en parallèle de ces deux séries s'avère donc nécessaire pour retracer les grandes lignes de la politique du BIE. Ce dossier contient des documents relatifs à l'ancien Conseil d'administration siégeant antérieurement à la signature des statuts de 1929 : un texte concernant le projet de création du BIE, un projet de budget du BIE pour l'exercice 1929 ainsi que la correspondance du Conseil entre 1927 et 1930.
Translated Scope and Content
The two files A.3.0.25 and 156 contain documents relating to the former Board of Directors convening prior to the signing of the 1929 Articles of Association, as well as to two issues covered before that date, which did not result in any particular action (sex education and the history textbook of the first war). The following files, devoted to the 45 meetings of the Committee from 1930 to 1968, have a similarly organised content: agenda (except for the 15th and 16th meetings), minutes (unfortunately missing for the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th to 15th, 17th, 18th, 22nd and 23rd, 33rd, 38th, 41st and 43rd meetings), reports and documents, correspondence.
This series is a good complement to series A.2.0 and 1 (Council), since the Executive Committee was responsible for exercising the Council's power between sessions in accordance with Article 11 of the 1929 Constitution. It is therefore necessary to compare these two series in order to retrace the main lines of the IBE's policy.
This file contains documents relating to the former Governing Board meeting prior to the signing of the 1929 Statutes: a text concerning the proposed establishment of the IBE, a draft budget of the IBE for 1929 and the Council's correspondence between 1927 and 1930.
